As many of you will know we've been running a campaign to get some regional UK gigs. The press have got behind us too and great news.....

FANS are urging the Spice Girls to perform in Manchester after the city missed out again on their sell-out comeback tour.Extra gigs were added to the group's Christmas tour this week, which includes 18 London dates as well as shows in Europe, the US and Asia.But Manchester was again left out meaning that many fans from the north west will not get the chance to see their idols.Now, the world's most popular Spice Girls fansite, www.spicegirls.co.uk , has launched an online petition to bring the Spice Girls to the city.

Gordon Thorn, 35, who runs the the website, said: "The group has thousands of fans in Manchester and for many fans in the north, London is too far. "I really think it makes a lot of sense for Spice Girls to add a Manchester date and it would be great if the girls and the promoters would consider it - it's really important to the fans.".

Gordon, a father-of-two, started the website seven years to enshrine the band's legacy at a time when their popularity was waning.The band who shot to fame with the hit Wannabe in 1997, decided to reform after seven years apart.He said: "They have a got unique sound and style that gives them a real feelgood factor. "I'm really supportive of any efforts to bring the group to Manchester, because the new dates are going to be great shows, and the more fans they can reach the better."On the website, which the Spice Girls have visited, fans are urged to `shout out and tell your favourite band how much you want them to come'.Site members were signing the petition within minutes of it being set up. A fan, signing on as Emma 0186 said: "I'd love for them to do a Manchester date, seeing them in Manchester would be ace.'Site member 'emmalover' said: "You should come for all the fans who aren't able to come to shows in London or any other show."The M.E.N. has learned that when the Spice Girls were first arranging their tour they wanted to play at the M.E.N. Arena, but couldn't because fellow 90s' giants Take That had booked the slot.But it is now understood that the M.E.N. Arena has made some dates available.A spokesman for the venue said: "We would be delighted to welcome back the Spice Girls. "They have a special place in M.E.N. Arena history, having played eight sell-out shows in 1998 and 1999 to over 130,000 fans."David and Victoria Beckham came to the arena when they were courting, so we are sure it holds a special place in her heart."Spice Girl Mel C gave further hope to fans in a radio interview. Spice Girls lease Boeing 757 with make-up parlour and creche for tour

When the Spice Girls kick off their world tour at the end of the year, they intend to travel in style.
The band – not content with flying first-class – are leasing a Boeing 757 they have nicknamed Spice Force One to jet them around the globe.
The fuselage of the 757 will be adorned with official Spice Girls reunion artwork – and inside it will have facilities including a creche and make-up parlour.

The jet will transport the five girls – Victoria Beckham, Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton, Melanie Chisholm and Geri Halliwell – plus their families, management, wardrobe and make-up assistants and bodyguards.
"Spice Force One will be a flying palace," said my source.
As well as the creche and make-up facilities, it will include a dining room, business centre, state-of-the-art bathrooms, a media centre and sleeping quarters.

"Along with the immediate entourage, the girls will have a team of chefs and nannies who will be on hand 24/7 to feed and look after all the VIPs on board."
The eagerly awaited tour kicks off on December 2 and will see the girls visit Vancouver, San Jose, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York, Shanghai, Madrid, Beijing, London and Cape Town.
It is the first time all the girls will have appeared on stage together since Geri left in May 1998 – leading to the group eventually splitting in 2001.
In addition to Spice Force One, the band is also set to hire two further jets – dubbed Spice Force Two and Three – for their dancers, remaining staff, stage hands and equipment.
Sources say a budget of between £7million and £10million has been set aside to pay for the three aircraft.

Reformed girl band the Spice Girls are to release their first single in seven years, Geri Halliwell has revealed.
The 35-year-old, who originally left the group in 1998, told GMTV the track was a "big love song" called Headlines.
"It's a Spice Girl classic. We are so proud of it," she said. "We started putting words down before we even had the finalised 'yes' from everyone."
The group are going on a world tour, releasing their album in the UK on 12 November and the single a week later.
'Second chance'
Halliwell said it was hard to "juggle that balance" between work and friendship.
"It's fantastic hanging with girls you really like but there are pressures of work to go with it so it's about finding that balance," she said.
"It's so amazing. It is like waking up and you get a second chance to be something that is so enjoyable," she added.
The group's worldwide comeback tour, which starts in Canada on 2 December, will be the first time Halliwell has performed with the group since she walked out.
Fans will be given a second chance to get their hands on tickets for the London leg on Saturday, when tickets go on sale for two new dates.
The Headlines single will also be the official song for this year's BBC Children in Need charity fundraising appeal.

Fans snap up Spice Girls tickets
London's Spice Girls reunion concert has sold out in 38 seconds after fans were notified tickets had gone on sale, the show's promoters have claimed. More than one million people in the UK registered for the concert, which takes place on 15 December at the O2 arena.

"It was a dramatic moment - the sales went live and there was a huge surge as fans bombarded the lines," said Ticketmaster's boss Chris Edmonds.
Two dates - 16 and 18 December - have been added to the tour.
A fourth London concert, on 2 January 2008, is also listed on Ticketmaster's website.
Tickets for the additional dates are currently being sold to fans, who were alerted to the sales by text and e-mail.
And tickets for the 15 December gig are already appearing on eBay - one for nearly £900.
The band's world tour kicks off in Canada on 2 December, and will visit San Jose, Shanghai and Cape Town.

The full line-up has not performed on stage since Ginger Spice Geri Halliwell quit in May 1998.
The reunion concerts have been put together by Simon Fuller, whose 19 company masterminded the group's global success more than a decade ago.
Under his guidance, the five-piece notched up a string of hits - including Wannabe and 2 Become 1 - while also capitalising on their fame with a stream of sponsorship deals.
Emma Bunton, Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm, Victoria Adams and Geri Halliwell quickly became household names - although they were better known as Baby, Scary, Sporty, Posh and Ginger.
They sold more than 55 million records around the world, and even starred in a film, Spice World.
Halliwell quit in 1998 citing "differences", leaving the band to complete a sold-out world tour as a foursome.
Since 2001 each member has since pursued solo careers with varying degrees of success, while Posh Spice has become better known as fashion icon Victoria Beckham.
